FLEETWELL – PART 3

Now the framework and baseboards were complete I couldn’t wait to lay some track and get a loco running. I started by laying the two lower level loops, my Powercab then arrived so I set up a basic connection with crocodile clips attached to the rails and took my Class 66 and put it on the track. After setting the loco address it was great to see it moving and running round one of the loops. All this was happening during the days, evenings I spent assembling my container ship – a downloaded kit from Scalescenes. I think it took me about forty hours to build, it’s approx. 905mm long. This is the first card built kit I have attempted and I’m really pleased with the end result:

As well as building the ship I have built approx. 100no 20ft and 40ft containers:

Liking that container ship, looks a great kit. You’ve done a brilliant job on it. Looking forward to seeing the next part.

Thanks Iain, I’m really pleased with the model especially as it was first kit I’ve built.
