Around the Layout Last Weekend
After suffering an Injury a couple of weeks ago and a visit to the GP last Tuesday I have had to put commission work on hold for a few days as I couldn’t sit at the workbench for any length of time.
After watching all 26 episodes of UFO (Remember That) laid up on the sofa I decided at least I could get a few jobs small jobs done on the layout.
First of all, there were a few wagons to paint and apply transfers to, Namely a couple of Cambrian Kits OBAs and a Parkside Dundas VEA.
Cambrian Models OBA Kits finished in Freight Red Livery with Model Master Transfers. Romford Wheels and Bearings.
Parkside Dundas VEA kit finished in Freight Red with Railtec Transfers. Romford Bearings and Dapol Wheels.
The march on Kit Built Rolling Stock Continues.
An area at the front of Loch Milford has been crying out for Scenic work for a while now so this was tackled over Sunday.
A start was made on ballasting the point work at the entrance to the carriage siding and greenery laid including long grass from hanging basket liner.
The signal box finally had its entrance steps fitted and a brazier with flickering LED fitted outside. (Flickering LED Brazier can be obtained from Leigh Models and Hobbies
Julie my lovely other half has made a start on the buildings for Harbour Re-modelling and has Scratch Built this lovely little low-relief Fish and Chip shop based on the Laser Cut kit free with last months BRM Magazine
All it needs to finish off is an interior and Lighting. That’s all from Loch Milford at the moment. TTFN
